Post reach vs. Post Engagement

Post reach and post engagement are two helpful tools that can be used on Facebook in order to get a better look into what your posts are actually doing and how they re doing. With post reach you're able to see how many people your posts have been seen by or how many people your post has "reached" out too. Engagement is people interacting with these posts, liking them commenting sharing etc.

Knowing the difference between the two is important due to the fact that different businesses have different ways of being successful, a mom and pop bakery might not need to seek thousands upon thousands of people view their information on Facebook and may only need to serve their local area. They might just want to focus on building a solid and loyal customer base and taking car of and interacting with their customers. However a large corporation like Amazon would want to generate both post reach and post engagement they would want to buy cookies to see what people have been searching and market to as many people as possibly in hopes that they can sell products to a large percentage of them.
